Tri-County Transportation & Land Use Study
Coordinated planning for regional mobility & prosperity
The Tri-County Transportation & Land Use Study is a first of its kind effort in our region to bring local governments, citizens, and businesses together across jurisdictional boundaries to talk about significant growth issues. The effort, kicked-off in late 2007, will create a forum for local leaders in the counties of Robertson, Sumner, and Wilson to consider the growth plans of their neighboring communities in an effort to improve their own – all for the sake of regional mobility and prosperity. The MPO will use the effort to generate ideas for the regional transportation plan. Local governments will use the effort to develop or improve upon their own comprehensive plans.

PUBLIC WORKSHOPS ANNOUNCED
Help Us Plan the Future of Transportation!
Given our region's growth and high fuel prices nationally, the time is right for improved coordination between land use and transportation plans.
The Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is currently working with the local governments in Robertson, Sumner, and Wilson counties to evaluate and coordinate transportation and land use policies in the Tri-County area and to help identify candidate projects for the MPO's 2035 Regional Transportation Plan.
The MPO recently conducted two rounds of workshops throughout Robertson, Sumner, and Wilson counties. Please use the links below to access the information shared at those workshops.
